Babies Room

6 weeks to 2 years

The staff minimum ratios in this room are 2 educators and 8 children. One of the main aims of the Babies room is to create a warm, home like environment to make what is most likely the first time in care be an easy transition for both the children and the families.

The routine in the Babies Room is very flexible to cater for the individual needs of the children.  Interests of the children are observed by the staff and then facilitated through hands on experiences, group activities and language times. In this age group a major focus is also on reaching developmental milestones, self help skills and independence along with learning to interact with others.

Some of the activities that we enjoy in our room include:

• Dancing
• Painting
• Story Time
• Sand and water play

The Educators in our Babies Room

Lead Educator - Sheree who has a Diploma in Children's Services and has been in the industry since 1999 and at our centre since 2013

Lead Educator - Sam who has a Diploma in Children's Services and has been in the industry since 2007 and at our centre since 2026

Educator - Iesha who has a Certificate 3 and is studying her Diploma in Children's Services.   She started in the industry at our centre in 2013

Educator - Renee who has a Certificate 3 in Children's Services and started in the industry at our centre in 2016
